Children's Ministry


OUR PURPOSE:

To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through our ministry, promoting a lifestyle of worship and loving service through word and prayer so that all of God’s children will know Christ’s transforming joy.

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES:

  1. We know that God loves, forgives, and accepts us through Jesus Christ.
  2. We grow our love for God through devotion to prayer, study, worship, fellowship, and sacrifice.
  3. We share God’s love with others by accepting and caring for them.
  4. We share the gift of our faith across the generations, in our community, and beyond.
  5. We celebrate God’s good gifts to us by caring for our world and everything in it.

These were formulated as members of Spirit of Peace gathered in January 2008 for a congregational retreat. We came to agreement through a group process of reading the scriptures, quiet reflection, praying, discussion, and discernment.
